Hate crimes in Maryland have skyrocketed. Requiring hate crime training for law enforcement is essential to improving Maryland’s response. OVM has been making the case for legislation that would do just that.
The March 10 workshop will be a reprise of the great training that took place yesterday afternoon at the White Oak Recreation Center. These two workshops are part of the first module, Defining Hate, in CUAH’s 2019 training series.

In order to increase voter turnout in the Maryland midterm primary election, four organizations have combined their efforts to host an Early Vote Block Party. Join us Saturday, June 16th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Marilyn Praisner Library in Burtonsville.

In the fall of 2016, a group of parents, educators, and community members came together to start the Immersion Montgomery initiative, a grassroots fundraising effort built on the belief that immersion/dual language education is key to preparing students to be effective and contributing bilingual citizens of our global world.
