This summer, we’ve been working tirelessly to empower communities, develop young leaders, and engage voters. We are so excited to report that we have many so different and exciting projects on the horizon this fall!
In order to increase voter turnout in the Maryland midterm primary election, four organizations have combined their efforts to host an Early Vote Block Party. Join us Saturday, June 16th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Marilyn Praisner Library in Burtonsville.
This year, one of our goals is to engage volunteers more. So we're creating five new volunteer action teams. Check out the teams below and join us for an action planning meeting to get these teams started!
In the fall of 2016, a group of parents, educators, and community members came together to start the Immersion Montgomery initiative, a grassroots fundraising effort built on the belief that immersion/dual language education is key to preparing students to be effective and contributing bilingual citizens of our global world.
Students, now is the time to apply to become one of our Spring interns. We are looking for qualified and motivated candidates! If you are not a student, consider making a donation to support our internship program.
This past weekend, six of our dedicated volunteers spent last Saturday morning at an area Giant grocery store collecting nonperishable items for Manna Food Center, the premier food bank in Montgomery County. In three hours, generous shoppers filled three shopping carts. Some made cash donations too.
