We work to ensure that public policies and policymakers are reflective of and responsive to all communities by increasing electoral participation.
In underrepresented Maryland communities, we organize nonpartisan voter registration drives and develop ongoing relationships with new and already-registered voters.
As political campaigns ramp up, we work with other groups to hold community meetings about the importance of voting, convene candidate forums, and make available to these new and already-registered voters nonpartisan information about candidates and issues that will be on the ballot in upcoming primary and general elections.
During the week of Early Voting, we offer assistance to each of the voters with whom we have developed relationships as they decide when and where to vote. We also hold nonpartisan events to draw voters to the polls.
